We are gearing up for this year’s EQWIP – Etowah Qualified Workforce Immersion Program – formerly known as Etowah Workforce Academy to be held at The Venue at Coosa Landing on Monday, October 10th.

The Etowah Qualified Workforce Immersion Program(EQWIP) gathers more than 400 educators from area public school systems to learn about entry-level jobs and career ladders in manufacturing and healthcare, visiting facilities and career technical departments of Gadsden State Community College.

With an event of this scale across Etowah County, we’re also looking for volunteers for a wide variety of activities & need your help!

Below are volunteer positions along with their descriptions:

1 – Full Day Bus Guides (10-15 people needed) – from 8 AM to 3 PM. Don’t worry, we’ll train you on what to do, but mostly it’s keeping up with your group of educators and keeping everyone on time that’s on your bus.

2 – Breakfast Setup/Clean Up (2-3 people needed) – from 7:00 AM until about 8:45 AM. Helping set up & clean up from breakfast (will be assorted biscuits, but we may need to clean up tables & empty trash afterward).

3 – Lunch Setup/Clean Up (2-3 people needed) – from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM, helping set up & clean up from lunch

If you are interested in volunteering, please let me know along with which opportunity you’d like to commit to!
