The October session of the East AlabamaWorks 2023 Educator Workforce Academy (EWA) focused on the Automotive and Manufacturing industry sector. Participating educators experienced a FAME safety circle with East Alabama FAME students. They tried their hand at vehicle assembly with the Oxford High School Modern Manufacturing Program and associates from the Honda Alabama Auto Plant. The group also participated in an elementary manufacturing activity with AlabamaWorks Region 2 Innovator Award winner and Munford Elementary School teacher, Kim Murray, and took a tour of Bridgewater Interiors in Eastaboga.
