One of the biggest workforce barriers in Region 2 – and throughout the state – is access to affordable child care. Not only affordable, but child care that corresponds to the parents’ work schedule. With that in mind, you are invited to join the Alabama Partnership for Children, The Chamber of Gadsden & Etowah County, and East AlabamaWorks for the Child Care Works Symposium on Friday, October 8. This breakfast meeting will be held at The Venue in Gadsden and will begin at 8:00 a.m. The APC will be sharing state, national, and regional data – and leading a discussion about child care as it relates to business & industry workforce needs. Deadline to register to attend this free breakfast meeting is October 1 at 12:00 p.m.
