(Anniston) – Due to the devastation from the recent severe weather, we are accepting donations to the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama’s Disaster Response Fund. The Community Foundation will be working with local response teams to identify needs and assist with long-term financial support.

Donors to the Disaster Response Fund may rest assured that 100% of every dollar donated will be designated for recovery.

When disaster strikes, the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama (CFNEA) is experienced in accepting donations and distributing financial assistance to those organizations on the ground working to restore communities. A Disaster Response Fund is in place at the Community Foundation to accept donations. CFNEA has a long history of working with not-for-profit organizations throughout our region. They look to us for support in times of long-term financial assistance. In addition, CFNEA staff serve on the long-term recovery teams throughout our region. We listen to their needs and work with these teams to assist in the long-term recovery of communities. Donation may be made online at https://cfnea.fcsuite.com/erp/donate or by mailing a check to 1130 Quintard Ave., Suite 100, Anniston, AL 36201.

In April of 2011 and March of 2018 when tornados ravished our region, CFNEA quickly responded with financial assistance. These dollars were focused on the long-term recovery. CFNEA provided funding for assistance such as rebuilding, debris removal, replacement of lost belongings, and other needs.

The Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama is a qualified 501(c)(3) public charity recognized by the Attorney General of Alabama and the Internal Revenue Service. CFNEA is one of more than 800 community foundations in the United States organized to promote and build permanent endowments on behalf of their regional area. Our mission is to achieve positive change through the generosity of donors, now and for generations to come. Please visit our website, www.yourcommunityfirst.org, for more information.
